Evaporative cooling uses water evaporation to cool air — it’s cheaper to install and run, and well suited to large, well-ventilated spaces like warehouses and factories. Air conditioning uses refrigerant to cool (and can also heat) a space, and works better for enclosed offices and retail units where humidity and airtightness make evaporative systems less effective.
F-Gas rules control the refrigerants used in air conditioning to limit their environmental impact. Only F-Gas registered engineers can legally handle these refrigerants — all Del Sol’s engineers are REFCOM and F-Gas certified, and our systems use low-GWP R32 refrigerant.
